In 2012, Prostate Screen Australia commenced their corporate prostate cancer education program free of charge to Brisbane workplaces.
The program involves member of the medical team from Prostate Screen Australia visiting workplaces and delivering a 30 minute presentation about Prostate Cancer and how it affects 1 in 9 Australian men. Both men and women find our sessions extremely informative and sessions encourage all involved to ask questions and seek clarification about many myths that exist in the community about prostate cancer.
Prostate Screen Australia is Australia’s only dedicated prostate cancer testing group based in Brisbane.
Each year in Australia, close to 3,300 men die of prostate cancer – comparable to the number of women who die from breast cancer annually. Around 20,000 new cases are diagnosed in Australia every year.
Join us to show your support to help reduce the impact of prostate cancer on Australian men, their partners, families and the wider community, by building your awareness and understanding of this cancer.
